its abt this rly cocky guy who joined the drumline
who thinks he can lead the entire band .
he's really good at the snare ( a drum) but his attitude sucks . t
hen he slowly overcomes it and learns his lesson the hard way ,
when he was kicked out of the band .


definition of drumline :
P1 standard ( really good) drummers/percussionists
eg. snare, toms, bass cymbals,jamblock, conga etc .
who lead the band in competitions and football games and homecoming & stuff .
only in marching bands (:

band camp was really fun .
wished it could be loooonger .
this post is gna be really long so bare with it .
( although i know no one will read it, but whatever .)

DAY 1
reported to band room at 7am .
Turned out that Ms Ng printed the time wrongly
and made everyone report an hour earlier =.-

Hansley ( DrumMajor) read to us the schedule .
and chris was vv funny . lol ..

Hansley : 9am-11am will be your sectionals !
Then 11am to 12.30pm will be main band ! 12.30 to 1.15 will be lunch,
then back to the band room for main band !
Then go to teckwhye primary for you master class and main band !

Chris : *interuppts* walao, hansley, if the whole camp is main band then say so lah !

Hansley : * irritated look * *continues* 7 to 8.15 prepare for --

Chris : *interuppts again* main band .

Hansley : dinner lah !

*Band laughs *

We had our morning run afterwards .
& mostafa asked the whole band to run in front of him,
whoever falls behind will have to run anth 1 round with him .

ridiculous thing for him to say coz,
he runs blardy fast , has incredible stamina, and never gets tired .

so when we started,
naturally mos overtook the entire band .

& no, we didnt have to run extra rounds . haha .

then we had extra time, so we can either choose to play soccer,
or run extra rounds .
a small group, including me april renee haixing pamela fathiah
lutfiya rachael sarah may vivien hansley and more didnt want to play .
Then rescued us , haha, and told us to go back into the band room .

then he's like, " better . got aircon smre ."

Then we went in and played concentration & 7-up .
we played concentration damn fast, i might add .
ok, well, towards the last part .

vivien won concentration & lut won 7-up .

then we had sectionals, mainband, then lunch .
Then we packed up and headed for teckwhye pri .

the brass sect got to go first .
so the woodwinds had to wait like 20 mins more for the next bus .

Then bus had barely any aircon .
and it was soooo stuffy in there , and the bus kept jerking,
plus the journey there was fricking looong .

rched there .
surprisingly, we arrived the same time as brass .
oh & teckwhye pri is super huge .

went to their hall, played our two pieces for the ' judges' to hear .
then went for our master sectionals (?) with the saxophones .
lol .

we had to climb to the 4th storey .
and teckwhye's 4th floor is sooo high !
we have to climb so many blooooooody steps .
then wardah was like, aiiiyoooh, we going what floor ah ?! 100th floor ar ?
hahahahaomghahahaahha .

Our instructor spoke soooooooooooooooooooo soft,
the back row could hardly hear . he was like mumbling the whole time .
Then he told everyone to play bar 4 of sunrise .
Then the 3rd clarinets in the backrow all didnt play .
and we're like, huhhh ? we supposed to play ar ?
omghaha .

Then there was this part we all thought chris had to play .
cuz the instructor said everyone play .
so we started playing and then
chris didnt come in where he was supposed to .
& everyone stared at him .
and he freaked out, and he's like HUHHHHHH!? i need to play meh ?
he didnt say out loud la . he mouthed the words .
omg sooo funny !

reported back to th hall .
Then prof soichi spoke to us .
i though he was gna say we were lousy .
he was like, you guys look like you THINK you can play very well .

me : ( thinking) here it comes ..

soichi : and you you play really confidently .

me : ( thinking) he's gna say we over confident .

and i think everyone thought he was gna put us down ,
cuz everyone was like slumped on their seats with that haiyaaa look .

then soichi continued : & i think you guys are really good !

everyone was like, HUHHHHH ?

Soichi : now, i dont rly give out compliments much,
so when i say you're good, you really good .

ok, i was sooo happy when he said that . ahaha .

Then he taught us abt synphonic releases and
little tips on how to make the pieces sound better .
that guy is amaaaaaaaazing (:

packed up and boarded the bus agn .
th woodwinds left first this time .
cuz the brass left first previously .
the bus this time was better .
you can actually feel the aircon and the seats are comfy .

When we were nearing th school,
lut told me to pass th msg down to the driver :
" ask the uncle to call the other bus driver why he still havent come yet "
then im like omfg , you mean the brass are still stuck there ?

then as we were turing into css,
we saw the bus just leaving the sch !
like omg , form here to teckwhye pri like like 30 mins .
so the brass will take an hour to arrrive !

so the woodwind went to whitesands for dinner .
me april & renee went to sakae to eat .
$ 56 plusplus . im broke alr la . T.T

went to the minimart , saw mos .
then i asked mos, all the brass return alr ?
& he's like yea, we ordered mac then you guys
have to have woodwind sectionals while we eat .

so bad !
we have extra sectionals !

Then later the brasses joined us .
mr wong had a chat with soichi
and he said that he didnt detect any major intonation problems ,
and he didnt mention anything abt articulation ! :DDDD
then we practiced until quite late .

after practice, we all wanted to bathe,
but april suggested we wait for everyone to go first,
then we can bathe in peace .

so we sat at the podium there and chatted (?)
the hnasley & fathiah joined us and chatted smre .
They told us alot of um ... stuff abt the seniors . HAHAHA .
& they also asked us what we think abt * and * .
hmmm .

went to bathe .
thn renee suggested we join the seniors in the band room ?
but the lorene said dowan .

went to sleep .
& MR LEE IS SOOOOOO UNREASONABLE !
dont even let us go down to buy drinks !
we're not even under him lor !
he's in charge of the leadership trianing thingy ,
so why bother so much abt band .
ommmmgggg .

DAY2 .
nth much .
just had morning run and main band .
packed up .
and went back home .
